Gilbert - Hulse
Cemetery
This cemetery is located in the South East corner of Section 33,
Twp 8 No., Range 2 East in Saline County NE.
This cemetery was read and indexed by Rose Marie Hulse of Exeter
Nebraska in 1978 and as of this date, it has been totally vandalized
and destroyed. There are most likely many graves that were never
marked.
On June 16 1872, Jonas and Louisa Wyans Gilbert sold to Joseph
Hulse and children for the amount of $7.50. The one-half acre
which is the east half of the Gilbert Cemetery to be used for a
burial ground for them and for as many as they see fit to be
buried there.
